Business/Career/Development Program or B/C/DP (as it is commonly called) provides scholarships to encourage professional careers among high school students and adults in transitional situations. It also provides financial and in-kind support for literacy projects. The Richmond Chapter contributes $20,000 to such endeavors annually.

ASIST - Adult Students in Scholastic Transition

ASIST is a flexible scholarship program that addresses the needs of adults who are struggling to improve their status in life through education. Applicants may be single parents, those just entering the workforce, or displaced workers.
The Richmond Chapter has funded through J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College, a member firm, nine ASIST scholarships totaling $15,300 for the 2006-2007 academic year. The need-based award may be used for tuition, certification programs, books, equipment, or seminars.

EWI Richmond Chapter expresses appreciation to all those member firms and individuals who have made the ASIST program possible. With your support we are able to make a difference by opening doors and changing lives.

EWISP - Executive Women International Scholarship Program (for High School Juniors)

For more than a quarter century, EWISP has helped students achieve their educational goals. Recognized by Money Magazine as one of the 12 top scholarship opportunities, the program focuses on the best and brightest students.
Through the sponsorship of their high school, students compete at both chapter and corporate levels. Richmond Chapter competition is completed in March.  The Chapter's top finalist is ranked at the corporate level in July.

In 2006 the Richmond Chapter awarded three $2,000 scholarships to high school juniors, payable in July 2007 to the college of their choice.

Through participation in the EWISP process, high school juniors realize the value of planning for their future. They organize their thoughts and set goals for their lives, so that regardless of their placement in the chapter or national competition, they have taken a step toward realizing their dreams.

International Philanthropy Project - Literacy

The Richmond Chapter is committed to the international promotion of literacy. The Chapter has donated books to community agencies and provided funds for a local third grade class to purchase reading books for their room.
Our Chapter is proud to sponsor the Literacy Event at The Boys & Girls Club the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 5:30pm.

The Business/Career/Development Program is a non-profit corporation recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501 (c)(3) organization. Donations to this program may be tax-deductible.
